Ducks were once plentiful in the Mississippi Delta, but now is seems like they are becoming harder and harder to kill consistently. The main reason for is the lack of quality foraging habitat. Rice fields today do not have nearly the amount of waste grain as they did in the 80s and 90s. The bottom-line with any duck management is that if you do not have food, you will not be killing ducks!!
